5046

Word count that is... 5046! Today :)
I just wanted to see how doable NaNoWriMo will be. I don't think I will have a problem after all. I wrote 5046 words today and it didn't feel bad at all. I am a bit tired now, but I've staring at the computer a lot lately and I've been plotting so much in my head that it actually hurts.

Still, I'm very proud of myself. Think about it. I could for instance write 50 000 words in five weekends if I would decide to write 5000 words each Saturday and Sunday. That would be pretty cool. Need to try that one day. Normal life during the week and then focusing on the book during weekends. Not too bad.

I think I have a solid story and I'm really interested in the whole thing, so it's obviously a lot easier to write than just writing down some random thoughts wandering around in my head.

My plan is to write a 80 000 word novel by the end of February. Scary indeed :)
Then March is an in between month when I plan my plot for Camp NaNoWriMo and maybe I'll be working on one of my work-in-process-novels.

I am using yWriter for this novel. I'm using the W-Plot Structure and I've also planted a Chekhov's gun in the beginning of the story.

And... Oh yeah... Wriye. Sign me up for 500K+ Club!

Let's see what the hell I'm up against. Go with the force, eh?

2013 Will Be The Year

I have decided that 2013 will be the year. It's time! No more excuses, no more nothing. This will be the year I finish at least one novel.

I will participate in Wriye, NaNoWriMo and Camp NaNoWriMo. This means that year 2013 will be about writing. All the so called extra time I have, I will write. Silly me started this blog. I have to write even more, because obviously I will have to blog about my year.

I have dreamed about writing a book for all of my life. In December 2012 I realized it will happen now. I've been writing my whole life and I write for a living.

This will most likely be the hardest challenge I've ever been crazy to go for.

I now have several good ideas for my novels. My plan is to write five-six novels off and on, on and off. During April I will attend Camp NaNoWriMo and during November NaNoWriMo. This means that during these two months I will focus on one novel per month. During the rest of the year I will write according to feeling. This is my plan, but plans may change.

I have not yet set a goal for WriYe, but I'll do it before the end of 2012.

I have now studied techniques about novel writing. I have also gone through a whole bunch of programs for novel writing. I couldn't be more grateful to How To Write A Book Now. I don't know what I would do without this website.

I have decided to use several different programs. Thank you My Writing Spot, yWriter, Storybook and LitLift. There might be more. I will use at least The Snowflake Method, Dramatica Model and The W-Plot.

This is a lot to take in and this is why I started this blog. I want to write about what I'm doing. I think I will understand my process if I keep a diary about what I'm doing, thinking, writing, trying, failing, gaining and succeeding.

I will write my novels in both English and in Finnish. This might be confusing, but because I write in both languages it's easier for me to keep up with my work by blogging in both languages. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Give me mercy for my dream :)

Start writing. It all starts with a single word!
